14th November 2007, Manhattan Beach, California. Dirty dogs go through the spin cycle and come out whiter than white. Almost 100 years after the first electric washing machine was introduced, one company has taken the household appliance a step further. The Spa Cabin, a washing machine for pets uses state of the art technology, developed to thoroughly clean and dry dirty dogs and crusty cats. US pet owners are estimated to take a US$41 billion bite in consumer spending this year. And in the next two years, that number is expected to hit $52 billion.
