18th October 2007. Venice Beach, California. "Myrtle and Squirtle" the two headed turtle, are the main attraction at the Venice Beach Freakshow. The freak show features "over 60 strange creatures, oddities and attractions," including twelve-month-old "Myrtle and Squirtle" from Peru, who is alive and well. "It eats so much," says Danielle Ray of the two-headed female turtle, whose shell is smaller than the palm of an adult's hand. "Both heads eat and they sometimes both want to eat at the same time and their heads go in different directions and they end up going nowhere," Freakshow owner Todd Ray.
